Vivian Girls – Tell the world

Vivian Girls rock. I got their debut album about two months ago and I’ve given it a fair few spins since. There actually isn’t a bad track on the album, my personal favourites are ‘Tell the world’, ‘Damage’ and a great little ditty entitled ‘Never See me again’. I’ve got my fingers crossed that they’ll play in Dublin sometime in the not so distant new year. Their name is taken from the title of a piece of work by Chicago outsider artist Henry Darger (1892-1973). I’ve heard about him before but I think I’m going to look more into him soon because he seems to have been pretty influential on a lot of modern music and art.
